Innovative compact extruder - 3D printing with granulate
KUZ will be presenting its innovative compact extruder, which offers a throughput range of approx. 8 to 500 mm³/s for standard thermoplastics. At the heart of the extruder is a new type of compact screw with an L/D ratio of 1.5 to 2.5, which enables compact dimensions, low weight and high flexibility. The compact extruder is suitable for 3D printing with plastic granulate and the extrusion of very small quantities, with a wide range of materials including PEI, PEEK and ceramic feedstock. It impresses with short residence times, high precision and very good thermal melt homogeneity.
Plastics for electromobility & high-voltage applications
Specially developed plastics are used as insulators in the field of high-voltage applications and e-mobility. The KUZ is responding to this with expanded testing capacities in the accredited testing laboratory and intensive research into material development and testing. CTI tests up to 950 V and a new high-voltage test facility enable the assessment of dielectric strength at alternating voltages up to 100 kV under various environmental conditions. In addition, the KUZ has expertise in material development, for example in the incorporation of difficult-to-process fillers or recycled materials, even in small quantities.
New KUZ Academy - Customized qualification
The new KUZ Academy complements the training portfolio and offers six different qualifications for the plastics industry, with optional in-depth knowledge. The seminars can be booked variably several times a year and are available at a reduced all-inclusive price. They start with an individual, free consultation appointment. The course concludes with an online exam that can be booked flexibly. Both newcomers and experienced professionals benefit from the offer. In view of the shortage of skilled workers, urgently needed skills can be strengthened in this way.
